This Privacy Policy explains how Layerpin collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use the Layerpin website, dashboard, public map links, embeds, and related services.

Layerpin processes account information, uploaded map images, map configuration, marker and shape content, tags, attachments, billing records, embed settings, public map usage signals, device and browser information, and support messages needed to operate the product. Billing records may include customer, subscription, transaction, plan, status, currency, tax, and total information.

Layerpin uses Google OAuth authentication to allow users to sign into their accounts. When you choose Google sign-in, Layerpin requests your Google account email address and basic profile information only to verify your identity, create or access your Layerpin account, prevent unauthorized access, and provide account support.

Layerpin's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Layerpin does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell Google user data, and does not allow humans to read Google user data except when required for security, legal compliance, or user-requested support.

Layerpin uses personal data to authenticate users, maintain accounts, save private drafts, publish read-only map snapshots, deliver authorized embeds, enforce plan limits, process billing, prevent abuse, improve reliability, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

Layerpin may receive account, payment status, authentication, storage, analytics, email delivery, and security information from service providers that help operate the service. The payment provider sends Layerpin the transaction and subscription information needed to activate plans, synchronize billing, provide invoices, and handle support.

Paddle is the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for Layerpin purchases. Payment credentials entered in Paddle checkout are processed by Paddle and its payment partners; Layerpin does not store full card details. Paddle separately processes purchase, tax, fraud-prevention, invoice, and buyer-support data under the Paddle Privacy Notice.

When you publish a map, its read-only content can be served to viewers through public links or authorized embeds. Do not publish content you are not allowed to share.

Public and embedded map loads may be measured to enforce plan limits, calculate usage, protect against abuse, and improve reliability.

Layerpin uses necessary browser storage for sign-in, security, account sessions, checkout synchronization, and core product preferences. Secure checkout may use necessary storage under the payment provider's privacy notice. Layerpin may use analytics cookies or similar technologies after you confirm the cookie notice to understand site performance and improve the product. You can block or remove cookies through your browser settings.

Layerpin may share limited information with infrastructure and application providers for authentication, database storage, object storage, caching, email, analytics, payment operations, error monitoring, and security. Layerpin does not sell personal data.

Layerpin retains account, map, attachment, billing, usage, and security records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or billing obligations, resolve disputes, maintain backups, and protect the platform. The payment provider may retain transaction and tax records as required for its Merchant of Record obligations. You can edit or delete maps from the dashboard, and deletion requests can be sent through the contact page.

You can update account details, edit map content, delete maps, stop publishing maps, and contact Layerpin to request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal data where applicable law provides those rights.

Layerpin uses administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect account and map data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, but Layerpin limits access to personal data to the systems and providers needed to operate and protect the service.

Layerpin is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Layerpin may update this Privacy Policy as the product, legal requirements, or service providers change. Material updates will be reflected on this page.
